SPSA Art Demo: Oil Painting and Landscapes In-Person

In many ways, it is the ideal structure of a landscape that draws me. The receding layers of peaks and valleys, behind the winding river or native plant, who can’t help but display their vibrant colors to the world. An illusion brought to life through light, shadow and atmosphere. In other ways, it’s the spiritual connection to the timeless moments of earth that offer peaks into the inner workings of the big wheel. The process grows into a love affair as shapes begin to mingle and blend against one another. My paintings, no matter how prepared I am, reveal themself to me. It is up to me to allow the painting into existence without resistance and to offer only guidance. (Artist Statement)
