Strum & Learn: Ukulele with a Story (4-Week Adult Ukulele Class) In-Person
Join us for fun and engaging ukulele classes as part of the One Book, One Coast program. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build your skills, these sessions offer a welcoming space to learn, play, and connect through music. We’ll also explore the ukulele’s cultural history, including how, during World War II, instruments associated with Japanese culture were restricted and discouraged, reflecting a broader period of cultural suppression. Celebrate music, resilience, and community as we learn together.
Shay Moulder will teach the classes.
Classes will be held on May 2, 9, 16, and 23. Space is limited. Registration is required if using a library-provided ukulele. Drop-ins are welcome if you are bringing a ukulele.
Registration has closed.
